For technology companies in particular, attracting high quality leads is a top priority. Surprisingly then, 61% of B2B marketers still send all the leads they receive directly to sales, while only 27% of those leads will actually be qualified for a sales call. This is exactly why Inbound Marketing is a growing solution for businesses – a methodology that naturally attracts the right prospects to your brand.

How Inbound Marketing will help you tear up your Sales Presentation

We’ve all been there: sat through a sales presentation that tells us how great a company is, what they’ve done and how superior their product or service is. By slide number 3, you’re already starting to check emails on your phone.

The reality is, presentations that simply relay what your brand does and the solutions it provides are a waste of time. The prospect will already be well aware of this information, having moved from Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) to Sales Qualified Lead (SQL), after reviewing your website, downloading your content, reading your blog posts and comparing you to other vendors.

B2B Data Protection Changes 2015

There’s been a lot in the news lately about how privacy regulations are set to change on 6th April 2015.  In essence the change means that proof of “substantial harm or substantial stress” caused by a breach is no longer necessary; the regulator can impose fines of up to £0.5m for a proven breach.

This is good news. There have been times (e.g. the Tetrus case in 2012) when there have been blatant breaches but the ICO has been unable to prove substantial harm or substantial stress and the perpetrators have got away with it on that legal technicality.

From the 6th April, those who don’t obey the privacy regulations will be fined, leaving those of us who do stick to the rules in a much better position.

But what of the future?
